Delivery of the unit was a breeze – we actually received it two days after we ordered it mostly because we were close to the shipping location.

The box arrived with little or no damage and the delivery company put it right into my garage floor.

It takes two people to put it together since it needs to be put together upside down until the end. There is quite a few screws and pieces to put together, but nothing to outrageous. The whole table part is put together already, you just have to put the legs on it.

The quality is what I would call middle of road – it’s all MDF and plastic parts. The playing surface is ok, but my complaint on that is the graphics that are put onto it. The graphics cause the surface to be like sand paper and they tend to catch the pucks when they are going at low speeds.

Game play is ok – you can bash it back and fourth with some pretty good speed. The goals are a little on the small side to keeping the puck out is not the difficult. We actually like to play with both of the provides pucks at once to distract from goal tending.

The biggest issue I had with the unit was the automatic scoring system that was prebuilt into the table. First, the electronic ‘eye’ on one of the goals was no aligned properly so I had to adjust it until it would read a puck going through the goal correctly. The second and most annoying part was the goal sound would sound without any puck going through either goal. I found that what triggered it was actually just a ‘tap’ on the table. Every time we knocked on or the puck hit the table it would randomly score for the home or away team. I even removed the scoring unit from the table to confirm it was whenever that unit was tapped. I contacted the manufacturer regarding this issue but they said there was nothing they could do about it. That being said, I looked for my own remedy. I just put some high density foam tape between the table and the unit which dampened the any vibration from the table to the scoring unit. This seems to have done the trick for the most part unless you really whack on the table or on the unit.

Overall, I would say if you are looking for a reasonably priced table it probably fits the bill as I looked at many other options. It seems the only way to get a great quality table it to shell out some serious cash on more of an arcade model.

I guess you get what you pay for. It’s no arcade hockey table. While it’s working fine, it’s almost exclusively made with very thin particle board so I am not sure how long it will last. The box was mauled by the shipper but somehow the table was intact. There were multiple manufacturing defects but all too small to bother returning it. I am not sure it’s worth the $427 I paid for it.

I bought this table on Black Friday, got an amazing deal on it. It’s definitely worth the buy, but does have one problem. The corners are pretty weak, and we’ve broken all 4 of the caps on the corners, so hopefully those can be replaced. Other than that, great table, we really enjoy it.

I purchased the Viper Vancouver Air Hockey table a few weeks ago and so far it’s been played for over 3 hours and works great. I accidentally broke one of the parts during install and GLD (Great Lake Darts) is sending me the part free of charge. The table works as well as the ones you see at big gaming places. My kids love playing on it so far and they use a step stool right now (6 and 4) since the table is made for kids 8 and above. Table was shipped free to door which is a great deal. I highly recommend this item.

I did considerable research before we bought this table. I had read that it would be hard to assemble. It was. The instructions didn’t specify which end of the table the power unit needed to be at so we ended up taking the whole thing apart when it was at the wrong end. It took about 3 hours to set up then another 1 1/2 hours to tear down and reassemble. Also, there was no hole drilled for the power cord for the score keeper. My husband has those tools so it wasn’t horribly frustrating.

The quality of the table is what I expected. The aluminum rails aren’t aluminum but a plastic strip that fits around the bottom of the “rink”. The table is for my teenage (14, 17, 19) children and myself. I didn’t want to spend $2000 on a quality table. So far this table has taken a beating and is still working. The playing surface is great. The walls however have lots of nicks and dents (we play hard).

So, the assembly is a pain. If you are expecting a table like you would find at an arcade, this isn’t it. It is however a nice mid level table and we are happy with it.

After doing much homework and checking reviews on this product,
purchased it as a family christmas present for my daughter and the
grandkids. Assembly was a snap and the entire family – including
neighbors and friends – were impressed by the quality of this table.
It’s now March and they are still trying to “wear it out”….. Very satisfied…!
